Well now, here is a special beer. In my opinion one of the best, if not the best, chocolate stouts. Velvety, smooth and sweet. I wish it was a little bit thicker/creamier but it’s very good nonetheless.

Creamy, smooth chocolate and nutty taste. Deep chocolate aroma and pitch black appearance. Overall, one of the best sweet stouts I’ve ever encountered. Just what one expects from Rogue.

A very nice chocolate stout. Pours dark with lots of thick head. Taste is mild with dark chocolate notes. Hopped to perfection, not overpowering at all but enough to cut through the malt. Lingering chocolate aftertaste makes you want more.

Big chocolate flavors come out in the aroma -- smell sweeter than they actually taste. Pours deep, dark brown -- almost black -- with a brown head. Clings to the side of the glass for a while. Bittersweet chocolate flavors, quite sweet but nicely balanced with citrus hops. Not too big, goes down easy. Could maybe be a tad sweeter, but it has charm the way it is.

for some reason, i always imagined this beer to be some thick, creamy, sweet thing. really, it was bitter, medium body. reminds me of the young’s DC, but maybe a little hoppier. definitely let this one warm up before drinking.. it was ok, but now that i’ve had it i won’t be seeking it out again.

22oz Bomber / I’ve enjoyed this beer many times before and will enjoy many times in the future. The bittersweet balance of malts, hops, and chocolate are about as good as it gets. Really, this treat never gets old.

On tap at Pizzeria Paradiso. Pours a deep brown with ruby highlights. A massive rocky, dark tan head leaves big lacing. Aroma is intense artesian dark chocolate with milk chocolate ganache. Taste is bitter chocolate with a big hop presence balancing. Bitter, quick finish. Very good.

Bottle. Poured black with a thick brown head. Aroma had notes of chocolate as well as an underlying coffee aroma. Flavor was dominated by chocolate notes with a bit of a bitter but towards the finish.
