The head is a khaki drab, creamy, and looks like a mocha mousse from the top. A beauty, indeed. Smells of powdered Swiss chocolate, caramel, and roasted marshmallows. Tastes of grain, semi-sweet and baker’s chocolates, and hops, which give is a cereal-y, chocolate-y goodness taste thru to the finish, which is a bitter chocolate finish. Just dry enough to earn the designation as a "stout." Simply a wonderful beer.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2009 pours pitch black with large, foamy tan head. Huge chocolate aroma and other roasty notes. Taste of burnt chocolate, roasted malts, a bit of coffee. Finishes fairly bitter. Creamy mouthfeel. Good, but maybe a bit overrated. A nice foamy head. Overpowering chocolate and vanilla that "punches" your nose. Too overpowering for the less powerful body and taste that is nice and creamy. Even as a chocolate lover, this was too powerful to enjoy the whole pint. SirLimpsalot (42), Sweden

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 10, 2009 A: Deep black brew with a nice espresso type head.
S: Chocolate, Chocolate, and more Chocolate did I order a Swiss Miss, pass the Marshmellow please.
T: Boy does the Chocolate stand front and center here, at this point I am begging for the marshmellows. So much chocolate with a great background of malt and a hint of hop.
M: average body for a stout.
D: It goes down as good as it tastes. Due to the overpowering chocolate one pint or bomber is enough for me.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2009 From the tap. Deep brown, almost black in appearance. Slight, tan head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Taste had some initial hop bite, while coffee and chocolate dominated the palate. Go for this one if you like a chocolate stout with hop bite. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2009 Bomber. Deep dark brown with a quickly dissipating off white head . Smells chocolaty & with some roasted notes as well. Mouth feel is medium and goes down smooth. Taste is extremely chocolatly. of the bittersweet variety. Decent hop kick in the aftertaste which melds beautifully with the malty backbone. Even better as it started to attain room temp. No signs of cloying, but I still think one 22oz’r is enough for a night. Delicious.
