Pours the usual golden color with some slight amberness to it. The aroma was pretty corn-like, light alcohol. The flavor was thick corny pale lager with no noticeable alcohol. Mouthfeel was moderate, sweet, little acidic touch to it. Reminded me of DFH’s Liquor De Malt. If these things weren’t such liver wasters, a side-by-side runoff would be thrilling (not really).

clear yellow disappearing white head. aroma fruity almost belgian like banana aroma. bittersweet malt liquor flavor. light fruity notes. bitter dry finish with a hint of spice. light watery. very light almost no carbonation. decent malt liquor..........i guess..........i was drinking a colt 45 with it and i would almost take the colt 45 over the dlh.........ummmm its a malt liquor and the body and carbonation sucked even for that. i dunno. i guess i was hoping for a good malt liquor. i got something that i didint like as much as colt 45......granted i was drinking the colt 45 from the 40........looking back on the notes i might have rated this a bit too high....but.....

Rating for ’Rogue Dad’s Little Helper’ (just thought I’d make that clear before Rogue changes its name.)

Looks rather like what you’d expect of a quality malt liquor: sickly-thick golden/amber with a quick white head. While Rogue makes no attempts to hide the corn, they certainly do put some lipstick on it. Candied and a bit toasty (at least "bready"), yea, verily, with a big alcohol hit... moreso in the nose than on the tongue. Flavor is malty and corny and sweet and oh-so-good of a style representation. Yep. Thick & sweet & sugary. Top-notch crunk juice.

Bottle. Small white fizzy head that mostly diminished with no lacing, transparent, visible carbonation, and a golden hue. Nose was corn, mildly hoppy, and malt. Ditto for the flavor. Tingly mouthfeel and medium bodied. Nothing real special with this one. It is what it is-boring.

Translucent straw-colored body, thin off-white head. Biscuity aroma with corn and grassy hops. Sharp, sweet corn body with metallic notes, grassy hops. Aftertaste of rotting corn. Father is embarrassed...and angry...and wearing a wife-beater.

Bottle. Gold with a small foamy white head. Smells slightly of corn sweetness and minerals. The flavour is sweet, within reason, accompanied by vegetal notes, caramel, and watery grain. Thin body. It’s actually not terrible.

(Rating #800)

Almost clear yellow body with a small white head. Smell of honeyed cereals. Taste is buttery plain cookies, sweet, some corn. Very cold it wasn’t very tasty so was almost drinkable but a few minutes after the pour it was developing a terrible movie popcorn taste. Like my cousin Louis for my family, this beer is the shame of the Rogue family.
