Rogue Dark Rye Ale

On tap at the Portland Brewpub. Pours dark copper/brown, toasted malt nose with a rye fruitiness to it. Very fruity malt flavor, rye comes through nicely, blends well, finish sorta tastes like american amber with a bit more crispness and hop bite.

I think this was the one I had draft at the Rogue Public House in Astoria as Rogue Smokey Dark Rye. A dark brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with strong ntoes of caramel, but also lighter notes of bread.

Draft at the SF alehouse. Dark malt aroma. Nearly opaque brown color. Decent white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Dark roasted malt - but very smooth; very mild. There is hop. The finish is fairly dry, and there is enough roast and bitter to make it very nice indeed. Great.
