flatmatt (77), Northville, Michigan, USA Sep 5, 2008 22 oz bottle. Pours slightly orange amber with a medium white head that disappers quickly. Aroma is a mix of piney and citrus hops with caramel. Flavor is caramel, hops, nutty, bready, honey. Interesting beer, pretty nice. dolemite77 (159), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Sep 4, 2008 Pours deep copper color with a soft fluffy head. Aroma isn’t much to speak of, some malt, musty hops. Flavor is sweet, and I think is the best part of the beer. Not that it’s all that complex or mind blowing, but it has about the right sweetness for a german-style beer, and the hops linger on the back end. Malt is definitely the biggest player in this one. Tessic (376), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2008 This bock poured a copper colour with a nice, fast living, creamy head. To the nose there are scents of hopps, juniper berries, sweet malt and a little caramel. First taste was slightly hoppy with a nice malty finish. Flavours of hopps/juniper not overpowering, nice amount. Palate is sweeter than normal with a slight taste of caramel and more sweet malt. Ottscay (4), Mason, Michigan, USA does not count Sep 3, 2008 Bottle. Poured a rich golden color, with a marginal head. Has a very slight spicy taste with a mildly hoppy finish. A good alternative beer when you want something a little out of the ordinary. dwaggs2 (93), Warrensburg, Missouri, USA Sep 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber color with a two finger head. Aroma is pine and hops. Taste is sweet but has a little hoppy finish.
