This stuff however is MUCH better. The D2 is a malt masterpiece. Toffee, caramel, and everything I expected the dead guy to be. tomthompson89 (1494), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 7, 2009 Pours reddish-tan amber color with a moderate beige head. Looks pretty plain. Aroma is fairly simple to be honest: some caramel, toasty-pine hops, earth...Tastes equally predictable, but pleasing nonetheless with flavors of caramel, toast, wood, dirt, and a somewhat supressed earthy hop flavor. Finishes mildly bitter and earthy. Medium bodied, not as creamy texturally as Rogue’s other offerings. It seems like this beer should be special but it’s just another Arrogant Bastard wannabe really. sunevdj (1788), Copenhagen OE, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 7, 2009 Fancy bottle with the Club. Pours a clear light brown. Smells of caramel and alcohol. Sweet with aromas of cream soda, rye and tiny hints of metals. Some residual sugars. Too sweet. Slipstream (786), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 6, 2009 Served cold from a tap, and called a doppelbock at this pub. Fairly dry, hoppy bock. Seems a bit light for a strong, double beer, and I am actually rating it lower than regular dead guy. n.b. The name Dead Guy Ale is not very appetizing. I would like to try the cool looking bottle too. fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 5, 2009 Thanks to Rogueone for sharing the bottle I got her for her birthday. This brew is a clear orange color with a medium thin and creamy light beige head that recedes slowly. Thin sheet of lacing on the glass. Hops and sweet caramel in the nose primarily, plus a bit of fruit. Medium body with a resiny hops and caramel flavor backed up by citrus and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering hops aftertaste. Enjoyable overall. Dedollewaitor (3773), Odense, Denmark
