Aug 20, 2009 Ever so slightly hazy orange, extra thick layer of pillowy beige head. Big aromas of toasted malt, toffee, grapefruit and grass. Thick coating malt spiced with piney alcohol notes. Nice hop bite under all the malt, that perhaps gets the upper hand in the long finish. Alcohol warmth on the way down.

Aug 17, 2009 750ml Bottle. 2009 vintage. This beer really is like the original Dead Guy Ale multiplied by two. Pours golden amber with an off-white head and nice lacing. Has a spicy hoppy nose with a hint of caramel. Smooth creamy palate and a long finish that is a little dry. Flavour has strong malt as well as honey, toffee, a little bit of saltiness and coffee. Not as sweet as it may sound, rather it strikes a really good balance between bitterness and sweetness. Overall this is an excellent beer, probably on a par with the original Dead Guy in terms of quality, albeit a little pricey in this part of the world.

Aug 13, 2009 Bottle (cool looking bottle). Pours a darker amber with medium beige head. Aroma is malty and sweet with caramel and toffee. Heavy caramel malt flavor profile. There are some toffee and nutty flavors that mix with all the sweetness and lead to a dryer and lighter finish with only a touch of bitterness. Tight carbonation helps to offset the impression of syrup. Not too bad.

Aug 13, 2009 Aroma on this one is crazy fruity with obvious hop bitterness, which is what mostly carries onto the palate. I was a bit disappointed with this one, as the flavor was just weak in general with obvious hop bitterness.

Aug 10, 2009 Copper color with a thick foamy fine head that leaves thick lacing and lasts forever. Sweet nose with floral notes. Extremely rich taste with caramel, toffee, coffee, nuts, and more hop than the commercial description admits to. Long, lingering, hoppy finish. And, oh, what a cool looking bottle!

Aug 6, 2009 2009, ceramic bottle from Central Market. Pours a clear orangish-amber, almost ruby color. Fluffy head, fine bubbles on the top sides, coarse bubbles in center and throughout. A thin head stays on top. Moderate strength aroma; sweet malty aroma with fruit and light caramel. Nice creamy full body mouth feel. Sweet malty taste that turns piny sweet with a small bitter hop finish.
