Excellent ! CharlesDarwin (1860), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 18, 2009 On tap at the brewery. Light crisp hop aroma, with a real juicy pellet touch. Pours a lightly hazed deep red amber. Flavor starts very mildly and then develops a punch of raw, green pellet hops. Cascadeish. Malt shows a nip of caramel and color. Okay. Nothing to get excited about. Rynoplasty (545), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Aroma of citrus hops and sweet brown sugar/cinnamon malt. Tastes like that, but with a lot more pine and earthy notes. Mouthfeel is less than spectacular, but the finish is long and hoppy. nickd717 (1392), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2009 Bottle from Whole Foods. Solid red ale, one of the best I’ve had. Pours reddish amber with a cream-colored head. Aroma of malt, hops, earth, wood, and citrusy hops. Flavor is sweet, bready malt with a hop profile that seems almost similar to something like Stone’s Arrogant Bastard. Palate is soft and a little oily.
