Bottle from Whole Foods. Solid red ale, one of the best I’ve had. Pours reddish amber with a cream-colored head. Aroma of malt, hops, earth, wood, and citrusy hops. Flavor is sweet, bready malt with a hop profile that seems almost similar to something like Stone’s Arrogant Bastard. Palate is soft and a little oily.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours slight cloudy deep amber with a thick and tan head. Dry wooden hops aroma with a light fruity hops touch. Bitter, roasted and malty flavoured. Light breadish and dry into the finish. Mild acidic and bitter finish. Mild liqourice note from the hops into the far finish. Ends dry and bitter lasting impression.

Pours red-tinted copper, nice head...pretty much just the most hopped amber I’ve had; other than that, nothing really to distinguish it.

650ml bottle - poured a burnt red amber with a full head that sticks to the edge of the glass like clingfilm. Aroma of orange peel backed with malt warmth and the drop hop notes shining thru. Warm almost vienna like fullness fills the mouth. Some nice hop resins leave a richness of tropical fruits followed by a lingering oily pine resin and lengthy bitter citrus pith finish. Joyous...!

12oz bottle at Winking Lizard Crosswoods. Cloudy red pour with a big tan head. Grassy and piney hop aroma. Similar flavor with somewhat of a malt balance.

Bottle. Reddish hue with a sticky white head. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit, hops, and malt sweetness. Has the same things coming through on the palate which is balanced beautifully and is an excellent red ale, not an amber ale like they say at the top of the page.

bomber Pours like a beautiful APA, opaque red/amber, with a sudsy white head. Sweet salty grapefruit aroma, crisp clear hops. Lots of bittersweet grapefruit flavor, pine, decent amount of malt to smooth it out. Very robust yet well balanced. Love it. Palate is lively, not annoying but soft. American excess done tastefully.

12 oz bottle from charlestons (new lenox, Il). It’s nice to have a bar 3 minutes away with a decent beer list. Pours a kurky dark amber with decent offwhite head that dissipates to a film yet still laces a little. Aromas are very rogue. Typical northwest hop accents on a large carmel malt body that smells of the prop yeast blend rogue uses a lot. Not bad, just expected. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, very fitting for the style, mixing caramel malts with pine, grapefruit, and overall pac nw hop goodness. This brew aint so bad. Reminiscent of the brutal bitter, but lighter on the palate. Easily sessionable with a nice carmel, pacman yeast, and nice hoppy bitterness lingering. A touch of cat box. Good, but not necessarily to style.
