| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2008 Pours darkish amber with a tall light amberish/biege head that recedes to a frothy cap. Smells initially like sweet vanilla extract and then caramel. As head recedes there are lots of hops - grapefruit and pine. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth and full, a bit sticky. Lots of heavy, foamy rings and sheets of lacing. Flavor is hoppy and sweet - big time grapefruit and pine over smooth caramel and vanilla. Almost enough hops to qualify as a big IPA - ha. Medium-heavy bitter bite through finish and a bit of a lingering bitterness on the tongue. 22 oz. bottle from Bootleggers. HonkeyBra (1369), Lemont, Illinois, USA
