On tap at the Alibi Room - pours a reddish copper. Aroma is nicely hoppy. Flavour is hoppy, with a bit of roast malt. A fine Rogue brew.

Cask Stillage from the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 25/09/2009 Hoppy aroma. Bronze golden coloured and hoppy with some alcohol present. Crisp floral and slightly bitter malt finish.

Pours dark amber, approaching crimson, with a luxurious off-white head, showing great persistence. Amazing sweet hoppy aroma showing loads of resin, pine, orange blossom, grapefruit and mint. Well balanced by sweet crystal malt. Superb. Similarly, the flavours show a great balance of malt and hops. Loads of caramel first up, before resin and pine show through, followed by some grassy notes (from dry-hopping?). All this is finished off by a captivating and complex (not to mention assertive) bitterness. Smooth, moderately rich mouthfeel.

600cl bottle, Beer Ritz, Leeds. Poured a darkish red tinged amber colour with a decent enough sized off white head. Some sweet malty fruitiness and anticipated hopiness in the aroma Palate is somewhat on the watery side but its tasty enough stuff , if slightly underwhelming. Dryish finish.

A great beer. Had some on tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours a copper-red with a fine, pure white head. Nose of sweet malts and light hops. Flavor is well balanced between the myriad malts and hops, and there is a sweet caramel presence. Finish is mildly bitter and sticky. Quite tasty.

12 ounce bottle from the beerhive. Pours a deep amber color with a medium white head. A great nose; sweet hops, pine and light caramel. The flavor is a bit of a let down, the amber ale is revealed; smooth easygoing hops and caramel. Not bad at all.
