Pours a cloudy, reddish-copper. A fizzy, foamy, off-white head leaves wispy, ribbony lacing behind. The aroma shows evergreen trees, both pine and spruce, as well as grapefruit hops, over brassy, caramel malts. The flavor is pretty hoppy, with pine and citrus again showing strong. The malt background is rather bland and grainy, almost cardboard-like, with very little sweetness to balance out the hop character. Less than substantial, the mouthfeel is a touch over carbonated and not very impressive. Finishes with a lingering, grainy aftertaste. Meh, average at best.

Poured red amber with a good sized off-white head, good amount of lacings. Modest aroma. Flavor is immediate hops though not overpowering, just leading the way. Malts are complex and almost balance the hops. Not overly sweet. Hops are piney resinous and just right. Palate is smooth and full. Overall a better than average Red Ale. In fact it is the best red I’ve had so far. Nice dry bitter finish.

Bottle in Tulip Pilsner glass. Only a faint intial hops odor, poured with little head, slight haze, light tan gold color. Odor of hops. taste of straw and lemons, with a very stringent hops, no floral notes, and a clean aftertaste. Not my IPA. Had it again at Three sons and it is no better. Fizzy, tobacco, but the malt are OK

12oz - Dark copper, fizzy light tan head. Fresh pine and peachy citrus aromas layer over nutty toffee and caramel-like notes. Upfront resiny bitterness balances well on soft brown sugar and caramel tones. Further notes of peach pull forward at room temperature. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bittersweet finish. Pleasantly surprised here as I thought this would make a perfect hoppy session brew. Well crafted…

22. Pours deep mahogany brown with a towering, thick, sudsy tan head that leaves huge streaks of lace. Nice big forward caramel and pine nose--just delicious. Medium body, nice understated carb. Caramel, pine, and spruce on the mid-palate, fading into a nice needly pine finish. This is a very tasty amber.
On further reflection, the malt boldness in this is just too heavily tilted toward Crystal. The iced tea sneaks up as it warms, and pretty soon it’s made itself right at home all over everything. And I really can’t give many points to a beer that’s only tasty right from the fridge. So I’m taking away .5 for overbearing iced tea business.

Red as cherries, opal, strong thick head. Big citrusyhop aroma. Some alcoholic sharpness. Thin body, strong carbonation(too much). Light, almost no flavor. Some bitterness, some floral.

Reddish brown with thick white head, cirtus hoppy aroma. A little caramel malt, and citrus with hoppy bitter finish.
