Spicy hops, bitter at times then the bitter linger hangs on after the end of each swig. Not as roaggy as most Rogues I’ve had, if that makes any sense. Not over the top as expected, more laid back even with it’s preservative hop feel. Hoppy bitter linger for a finish. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 9, 2008 Pours a coppery red, with lasting off-white head. Aroma is strong grapefruit hoppiness with a little sweet malt. Taste is mostly piney hops, but there is enough malt to call it an amber ale and not an IPA. dsm (109), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 8, 2008 Pours red with a small head. It is an easy drinker, well carbonated, hoppy beer. It is smooth with a mild bitter finish. I haven’t had a Rogue brew yet that I didn’t like. puggy211 (600), cordova, Tennessee, USA

Sweet salty grapefruit aroma, crisp clear hops. Lots of bittersweet grapefruit flavor, pine, decent amount of malt to smooth it out. Very robust yet well balanced. Love it. Palate is lively, not annoying but soft. American excess done tastefully. gsmitty80 (653), Washington DC, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 4, 2008 Poured a copper red with a nice head and lacing. Tasted like an ESB with some honey or sweet fruit, not as bitter as expected in a red ale. Good but not one of the best and underpar from Rogue. chicagodri (1077), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Nice red amber color with a thin head. I thought it had nice balance. Some nice malty sweetness, but I really liked the hops in the flavor. Slighty bitter and very well done. I enjoy red ales with some hop character. Miksu (2241), Jyväskylä, Finland
