| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 26, 2008 Pours a deep red copper color with a thick, off-white head. Has a minimal hoppy aroma. The flavor is not well balanced, tipping in favor towards the hoppy side of things. Although the hop flavor is a mixture, and some sprucy flavor comes through, the predominant hop flavor is bitter, occasionally coming close to metallic. This ale is OK, but is not worth the premium price I paid in my area (Southeastern Pa.). I won’t be buying this often. lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 25, 2008 Pours opaque mahogany with frothy off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, caramel, and brewer’s grain. Flavor is dull: slight citrus bitterness with slight hint of ginger and cola backed with moderate german malt. Flavor is not strong and not particularly complex. Dry-hop is practically non-existent. I probably won’t get this one again. Guinness4Duff (507), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 25, 2008 Deep ruby amber color with an off white head. Aroma is of hops and the flavor follows suit with a very bitter finish that could compete with most IPA’s. Very Nice zebracakes (1216), Washington DC, USA

Aroma is hoppy, malty, and chewy. Flavor is the same with caramel and graham cracker This has a wet earth taste, but is not quite wet dog. blipp (1723), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours a beautiful chestnut with a thick tan head. Hoppy and sweet nose with notes of red berry and a hint of caramel. Medium mouthfeel and quite hoppy, with notes of berry and pine. Dry, bitter, and slightly metallic finish. Decent for an amber but not one of Rogue’s better beers. Jonte (829), Gothenburg, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Updated: Jun 17, 2008Bottle. At Bishop´s Arms, Avenyn, Gothenburg. Hazy red/amber color with a beige, big and creamy head. Aroma: American hops, caramel, citrus, sweet fruit, floral/perfume. Flavor: Light and smooth but still hoppy, mild fruitiness, citrus, caramel, a little soapy and lightly piney. Easy to drink. Maybe a little thin, but still quite good. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Bottled, consumed on 01/18/08. The beer pours a gorgeous, clear, dark amber. A rocky, light tan head that lives a long, long time forms. The aroma is rich grapefruity hops. The flavor is resin and pine hops up front, followed by a subtle roasted malt (almost chocolate) and nut note. The finish is very clean and smooth, with some lasting bitterness. There’s a just-right amount of carbonation astringency. I really dig this beer, though it’s way hoppier than I usually like my amber ales. Another great Rogue beer. georgehog (18), Delaware, USA
