Aroma of hops, malt, toffee, caramel, and some sweetness. A nice medium moutful with a hop taste followed by some caramel and malt with a metal aftertaste. patrick820 (69), San Luis Obispo, California, USA

Aroma is of light pine and hops with light sweetness and malt. A little dead on the palate but smooth. Flavor is mildly sweet with lightly bitter end. Earthy flavors, nothing over the top or prominent in any way. I suppose this is a good session ale. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Supposedly the new “Dry Hopped” bomber… but I think it may have been on the shelf for a couple months.
The beer poured a beautiful dark copper body and a tall tan head. The aroma is sweet and bready; the hops seem withered, especially for being “dry hopped.” A spicy presence of citrus zest, pine chips, ceder wood is there, but surprisingly the hops are mellowed and not as aromatic as anticipated… I was looking forward to the pungent hoppy attribute. The mouth-feel is medium and gently chewy… a great beer… I just wish it were more boastful!

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 7, 2007 the Dry-Hopped Edition of this Rogue brew pours nice with a Extremely Hoppy nose. Strong mineral, roasted malt, and a slighty (pleasant) bitter tight finish. Mineral and Earthy notes make this sharp with slight hints of gin flavors and deliver a clean false carbonation on the end. Delicious. I would definitely buy it again.
Also, I don’t know if my rating is skewered by the DRY HOPPED spin on the regular Saint Rogue Red. fonefan (11525), VestJylland, Denmark

To be honest, I don’t remember much about it except that I didn’t like it as much as other Rogue beers stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
