Poured a very dark amber red with a nice frothy head that subsides to a ring around the glass after a while. The nose was malty and buttery with a good dose of herbal hops. The taste was similar. The malt dominates up front with gentle roasted caramel notes. Hops enter next with a spicy herbal and piney bite. The feel was silky smooth, reminiscent of a cream ale. Not what I expected from a red ale, and I fear it may spoil my perception of them in the future.

pours a dark reddish brown with a thick off white head. Aroma is lovely citrus and floral hop. Good balance in the flavour. Nice floral hop flavour at the front fading into a dry malt body. Very clean finish. Excellent beer, loved it.

Muddy dark copper with a medium sized white head. Citrus hoppy aroma, some caramel. Hoppy flavour with a malty backbone, rather dry.

while the malt flavors in this one were good, its the dry hops that really came through outstandingly, with a wooden finish

Dark amber with light brown head. Toasted sweet orage on the nose. Flavor is hoppy up front. kind of thin and watery with the malt taking over the finish.
