| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Found this bottle (in June) hiding in a bottleshop in Monterey. Definitely a different saison style as you can really taste the spices. But that actually put my off to the ale a bit as I think the spices took away from the delicate/light flavors that a saison style ale. Still enjoyable on a hot day. Hazmatt (363), Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Bottle. Hazy golden color, white head. Sweet spicy aroma. Well balanced flavor, nice finish. Excellent beer. Why the low rating? This was good stuff. HopsOrDie (687), New Lenox, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 30, 2006 Pours a hazy golden color with a ton of carbonation to produce a white head. A little bit of ginger in the nose, but otherwise not much to smell. Soft flavor. Some dirty farmhouse flavor along with pepper? Surprisingly, quite easy to drink especially for 6.2% YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | May 23, 2006 Slightly hazy amber with a foamy white head. Aroma of old clothes kept too long in a closet. Grandpa’s flannel shirts. Maybe a hint of yeast. Perhaps. Yeast in the "flavor." Very disappointing beer from Rogue. Then again, they have quite a few disappointing beers among their successes. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 21, 2006 22 oz. bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar. Pours a hazy topaz amber color with a large white head and nice lacing. Aroma is sweet, peachy and yeasty with lots of interesting and somewhat odd spice notes. Flavor is also sweet and spicy, ripe summer fruits, light brown bread, citrus, pineapple, the ginger leaving a light biting spiciness in the finish. Medium body, fine, yet aggressive carbonattion. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 21, 2006 Poured a hazy orange color with a massive white head that lasts and lasts. Aroma is primarily yeast with a mixture of fruitiness and spices. Taste is a blend of grass, spices, light citrus, herbal tones, and a dry hops finish. Interesting combination of flavors, but not my favorite style of brew. Kevster (239), Bradenton, Florida, USA
