Smells like dirt. Pours with really fizzy head. the bottom 1/6 of the bottle was all yeast...really gross. Kind of tastes like a Steel reserve without the alcohol bite. Avoid this. Aroma of strange fruity spices, a bit of the barnyard smell, and a hint of white grape juice.Taste is dusty cellar yeast, half fermented orange juice, peppery clove and spicy ginger. Mouthfeel feels substantial on the tongue, but the finish is a bit watery. The carbonation escapes this beer very quickly in the mouth, making it feel more thin. I really wanted to like this beer, saisons are generally good. Unfortunately this beer leaves alot to be desired.

Topped with a clean fresh soapy head of pearl. I give it a while to warm, as Old Chicago serves all beers way too cold. The still cold aroma is a faint belgian fruit. Flavor is incredibly bland, super sugary and lacking depth. Bland clean malt. Pretty dissapointiung. No character beyond a little fruity esterness and a little apple. Palate is a little sweet and tart. Very drinkable, though. jrob21 (1268), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

A little thin and quick finishing. Seems like I’ve had a lot of these saisons recently. They go down well but I prefer a darker beer in the winter. kujo9 (1077), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA

Aroma is a bit of muddled...stuff! A bit floral and minimally spicy, but not the usual aromas that are grains of paradise. Ginger is very, very, very, subtle. A bit of white pepper and alcohol fruitiness; A bit of rose and plum floral from the hops and yeast, but very little yeast character overall. Well balanced, a bit on the semi dry side of the finish, not dry like most saisons, and much less bitter which I prefer. Hints of toasty malt and alcohol. A bit of the muddled spices mid palate into the finish with finish of ginger taste and light fruitiness. Medium carbonation, smooth m/f, a bit of warming from alcohol w/ a lighter medium body. Not a bad beer, just not a good saison. Spices seem too muddled to be distinct, and not enough bitterness to resemble a true saison.
