Murky brown pour with an off-white head. Spicy, yeasty aroma. Nice creamy mouthfeel, heavily carbonated... more spice in the finish. Some dough and yeast plows through. Overall, pretty good. Pretty good, not stellar.

Light amber with a white head. Taste is mostly yeast and spice with some clove flavor and hops in the mix. Overall nothing special but decent enough. Average overall, below average for a saison.

Pours hazy golden color with a small frothy head.i was suprised to see this was a saison. It did have some charchteristics but felt it was just an ale with citrus and spices.Just an average brew. The bottle and beer description was the most exciting.

12/5/05: Bottle.
Golden brown body with a thick rocky almond colored head. Champagne-like nose with some spice. Sour, dry malt flavor with notes of green apple and ginger. Alcohol more pronounced as beer warms. Some hops also noted at finish.

This saison pours a very cloudy golden color from a 22 oz etched bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and spicy. A medium bodied saison. Malts are fruity, sweet and spicy. Hops are spicy. A Belgian style ale, brewed with some different spices, grain of paradise, ginger root and others, makes for a flavorful saison. Definite a saison, definitely brewed by Rogue. Interesting beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly spicy.

There was so much going on in this beer, it was hard to really nail down a flavor. Very thick and cloudy looking. It had an odd bitter plain yogurt flavor, very rich and thick yet smooth drinking. Very interesting brew.

Cloudy medium orange body with a large eggshell colored head. The arom ais sweet gingerbread and carrots. There is also some orange. The taste is light ginger snap cookies and some slight spice in the finish. There is also bread crust and some sweet peanut brittle. A decent Christmas beer.
