Commercial Description:
June 15: Rogue's 15th Anniversary Series release #9: Glen will be tapped at 15:15 hours...dedicated to Glen Hay Falconer: Once a Rogue, always a Rogue (1961-2002). John Maier described Glen as a strong ale, brewed with five ingredients: Simpson's Golden Promise & Weyermann Malts, Glacier hops, Free-range Coastal Water and top fermenting PacMan Yeast. Glen weighs in at 18.9 degrees Plato, 50 IBUs, 78 degrees Apparent Attenuation and 15 degrees Lovibond. Orange/amberin hue, sporting a thick and creamy head with a fine hop bitterness and aroma. We love you Glen!

On tap at Papago: Pours to a clear light amber body with a small, bubbly eggshell colored head. The aroma gives off caramel malt, mild apples, slight hint of pear, and a light fruity grapefruit hops. Taste is initally sweet light caramel, which is quickly taken over by grassy, bitter, grapefruit bright & fresh hops, which lead to a very slight alcohol flavor, but only if held in the mouth for longer than normal. Finishes with some sticky sweet residual sugar, caramel, and a lingering grassy grapefruit hops bitterness on the sides of the tongue. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, hard to believe this is only 50 IBU’s, according to the description - my taste buds put it closer to 80.

8th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Cloudy brown ale. Pretty hoppy but also smooth with lots of soft malt. Seems more of an IPA to me but what do I know?

On tap at rattle n hum. A both musty and earth offering with sweet orange and strawberry notes. Has some barley wine characteristics but mantains more of a more fluffy mouthfeel.

Draft at Rattle n Hum. Poured a hazy orange with a medium white head. Hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and flowers. Strong flavor with nice malt character and hop backbone. Filling and on the tail the alcohol warms. A nice beer.

Draft @ St. James Infirmary. Pours a slightly hazy, orange-amber color; off-white head with solid lacing. Solid amounts of breadiness and earthy bitterness in the aroma; a bit resigned, honestly, with some crackers and biscuity notes . Medium-to-full mouthfeel: loads of chewy, earthy bitterness, fruitiness (hard candy) and oranges; a touch astringent in the hop profile, and the carbonation is a bit off-putting; generous, chewy, with rough edges. Medium finish: chewy, cherry pits, dried oranges, and lasting bitterness.

On tap at the Eugene City Brewer. Best service I’ve ever had at a Rogue pub. Oiney hops, caramel, alcohol. Light amber with a moderate but lasting off white head. Smooth in the mouth with a hop trail. The malt stays int he background but the hops stop short of raspy, Rich flavor

Tap at tdr. Hazy orange amber with a medium bubbly off white head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops, caramel malt and light fruity notes. Flavor the same, lots of tea notes and that classic Rogue yeast.
