Poured amber with a thin tan head. Sweet malty aroma. Big burst of vanilla up front. Like a vanilla shake. Some malt and caramel and nutty, but mainly it’s about the vanillla sweetness. Not too bad.

Gorgeous pour, deep red brown with a thick, slowly to dissipate head that leaves a faint lacing. Malty, roasted aroma with, obviously, a hazelnut streak. Chocolate, coffee and hazelnut tastes but they don’t overpower. Definitely one of my favorites.

Pours dark brown with red flashes and a fizzy diminishing head As i poured it i thought ’mmm’ drinkable. Aroma is (thru a slight blocked nose, fingers crossed its not swine flu) choc and dark berry fruit with a smidge of nut. Taste chocolate and berries and a lovely smooth hazlenut finish. Palate is divine, rich and creamy fading to a clean and very slight bitterness. Very good brown ale

Hazelnut very apparent in the nose and the taste. Not really my cup of tea. Nice beer but I probably won’t do it again.

Hazelnut extract really comes out in the aroma and flavor. Body has a nice rich hazelnut color to it and head is decent. However, otherwise the flavor reminded me of a pale lager macro brew, albeit a high end one. Sorry, but this beer doesn’t cut it.

Bottle 650ml: poured nice dark clear redish brown with a medium off white head. Smells nicely of toasted malts and hazelnut. Tastes slighly sweet with coffee and incredibly enjoyable hazelnut finish. Mouth feel, I think, had false sense of thickness from the hazelnut, because my first sense was a bit thin. Overall, I seriously liked this... Not too bitter nicely sweet, but not over sweet. Hazelnut is way better than chipotle!

On tap at Rogue Ales Public House in SF. Wow, this was a surprisingly excellent beer. Dark nut brown color with an off-white head. Incredible hazelnut aroma. Flavor is lots of hazelnuts with caramel, roasted malt, and slight fruitiness. Nuttiest beer I’ve ever had and I love it. Palate is a little thin, but this is an absolute top-of-the-line brown ale overall.
