Dark brown in color. Sweet and malty. Fairly strong in alcohol content but not too strong. Nice and nutty

pours a dark brown with a smallish head. Aroma has strong malts, some sweet cream, and definite nutty notes. Flavor is wondrous- the creaminess really comes through and makes the flavor thick, rich, and delicious, though the actual mouthfeel is much lighter on the tongue. Really a good beer, probably my favorite brown to date.

The first thing you notice whether you’re getting this on tap or pouring your own from a bomber is that huge smell. I grew up in a town with a lot of filbert (hazelnut) farms and this thing takes me back to my childhood with that aroma, nothing else permeates the smell. The mouthfeel is sticky and creamy and very sweet but not annoyingly so. This is the best brown ale I’ve ever had, and I am super craving one at this very second.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 22oz bottle into a pint glass. Appearance: Its body has a deep dark reddish brown color with lighter reddish highlights. The head is big and foamy and has a nice light tan color. It also has very good retention and makes cool splotchy lace that is slick and slowly sides down the sides of the glass. Smell: The aroma is malty sweet, buttery and has an assertive nutty character. Taste/Mouth feel: It has a wonderful roasted and buttery smooth nutty character. It is mildly sweet and creamy with little to no hop influence. The finish is mildly sweet and creamy as well and it has a solid medium body. On the tongue it has a slick and silky smooth texture with soft carbonation. Notes: This is a heavenly Brown Ale.

Bottle - 650ml. Pours a dark brown hazy body with ruby glints and a decent beige frothu head. Wonderful hoppy aroma with malty, oaky, fruity and toffee hints. Sharp, complex hoppy taste. It carries fruity, nutty, roasty and subtle chocolate notes. Alcohol is well dissimulated. Ends with a long bittersweet finish. Awesome Brown Ale!

650mL bottle. Pours a deep brown-red. Aroma of malty nuts, bit of caramel. Flavour is mildly sweet, very refreshing. Aftertaste really brings out the subtle nutty flavours with a minor spiciness. Very enjoyable

I like this one and it is fun to share with some people with dessert. Nice nutty flavors and toast. Some bitterness form the brown ale and is pretty balanced.
