hillfiiiiire (283), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Mar 1, 2008 Pours dark brown with a finger head. The aroma is overwhelmingly sweet almost to the point that it smells milky. The flavor is really sweet with this nuttiness, but it has a sharp dry finish. The body is kind of nice and creamy. It definitely got better as it warmed. dolemite77 (184), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Mar 1, 2008 great aroma of hazelnut and roasted malt. Pours dark ruby with a thin head. Great brown ale flavor with a nice amount of hazlenut flavor. I’ve homebtewed with hazlenut extract. This suffers from the same slightly artificial flavor. Very good though tnkw01 (124), USA Feb 29, 2008 Really great brown ale. Don’t really taste any hazelnut but great falvoe all the same. Can see why it is in the top of this category. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Feb 28, 2008 amazing brown ale, best brown ale i’ve had, an interesting aftertaste of hazelnut and chocolate, but not overpowering at all! SHANER4 (370), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Feb 27, 2008 22 oz. bottle - Poured mohogany color with medium beige head. A definite nutty scent, very earthy. Taste is creamy smooth with a hazlenut flavor on palate. Reminds me of a dunkel I had, has that musty earthy feel. Another fine brew from Rogue Ales but not my favorite. Atlove (36), USA Feb 23, 2008 Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar pours a dark copper-ruby color with a medium tan head. The flavors of hazelnut and roasted malt are really nice, and so is the finish--sweet and nutty. There’s something metallic and artificial though, which restricts me from giving it a higher rating.
mrw1zard (54), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Feb 19, 2008 pours a nice dark brown, nutty aroma, had a strong nutty taste that lingered but didn’t distract from the overall taste. A nice change of pace Zaprozdower (41), Boone, North Carolina, USA Feb 18, 2008 Fantastic beer, one of my favorites. The hazelnut flavor is just delicious without being overpowering. Could be the best of the Rogues.
