Dec 21, 2007 Bottle. Poured a very dark brown with a two finger tan head. Very rich hazelnut nose, almost as if it’s more a coffee creamer than a beer. Very interesting beer, although I think the hazelnut flavor overpowers much of the finer qualities of beer. Surprised that theres almost no hint of alcohol in this beer.

Dec 21, 2007 On tap at the Bocktown, nice place. Some barely detectable roasty hints inthe aroma. Has the look of a darker cream soda. Some mild chocolate hints in the flavor and you cannot tell this is a 6.2% beer. Well hidden. Fairly enjoyable with little bitterness. Other Hazelnut brews I’ve had were way to hazelly for me but this comes across rather gentleman like. Very mild creamy carbonation and it is barely present. Overall, not bad and fairly friendly. Easy to drink with no medicinal finish.

Dec 19, 2007 Thick and creamy head sits on a red/brown colored beer. Malty sweetness with a little nutiness. Nutty sweetness also in the aroma.

Dec 18, 2007 22oz Bottle: Cloudy brownish amber w/ a very small light brown head. Very sweet aroma. Malty, nutty & almost buttery. Aroma is amazing...I know I have to taste, but the aroma. Ah yes. Flavor. Roasted malts followed by a nutty, buttery goodness, then the roasted malts again. Not unlike the aroma. Slightly dry finish. Smooth, very smooth. A little creamy, nice carbonation & that aroma, my god...the aroma is friggin amazing. Great job by Rogue here...great beer!

Dec 17, 2007 Wine-King, Manasquan.. nice dark Amber color with a decent pale brown head. had a smooth dark hoppy taste that wasn’t over powering. I don’t know were the Hazelnut comes in because I didn’t taste any.

Dec 17, 2007 Bottle. Pours a medium brown with decent beige head. Aroma is malty and nutty. Flavor is clean malt leaning towards sweetness with vanilla, butter, and hazelnut accents. Leaning towards thinness but overall mouthfeel is nice and this one drinks fast. Finish is dryer and has some toastiness to it along with more nuttiness. Good stuff and an easy drinker.

Dec 13, 2007 750mL bottle split with wcampbell and Belushi. The aroma is fantasticly nutty. Hazel nuts galore...Taste is same. Great beer, no trace of any sort of alcohol., very smooth.
