Sneed (8), Eugene, Oregon, USA does not count Oct 2, 2007 Tasted like cream soda with addition of slight hazelnut flavor. Easy to drink but unremarkable. blklab2007 (932), Connecticut, USA Sep 28, 2007 Updated: Jan 17, 2009bomber, poured a plumb brown in color with a thick frothy two finger head and good carbination that stayed through the whole bottle. smell has hazelnut as advertised, slight cider sweetness, caramel, malts, and is a little funky. the hazelnut flavor is nice, slightly sweet, and has a creamy chocolate thing from the malts. only complaint is the finish just does not quite have enough punch, but it is an easy to drink beer. one of the better brown’s and with some hazelnut thrown in, real good! milewide (609), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Sep 28, 2007 Strong hazelnut aroma, which I didn’t like. Head declined quickly. Thin body. Clear, weak brown color. Lightly hopped. charcot25 (181), Cordova, Tennessee, USA Sep 27, 2007 On draft at the Flying Saucer. Has a deep mahogany body with a tan head. Wonderful sweet aroma with hazelnut liquor. Tastes predictably sweet with little hop presence. Light chocolate, truffle, molasses and caramel notes. Very nice. A desert beer. 00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Sep 27, 2007 Pours out a brown color with a nice tan head. Aroma is very nutty and malty. Flavor is the same. This might be the best brown that i have ever drank. this is a solid beer! fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 27, 2007 A damn good nut brown. Very nutty and malty. Tasty, Tasty, and ...Tasty. One of my favorite brown ales. gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 20, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Bottle. Poured dark brown with creamy caramel head. Lots of nuts in the nose (don’t take that out of context), but I don’t get a hazelnut experience as much as just pure roasted nuts, like almonds and cashews. Taste is chocolate, roasted nuts, cream. Bitter finish. Drinkable, and recommended. buddahmind (39), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 20, 2007 "It’s a bit nutty" This beer is wildly popular around Boise with a float of Chocolate stout. I must say that I prefer that particular version to the straight nectar. No offense to the all mighty Rogue, but at least I’m topping it with one of THEIR other beers.
