RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 8, 2007 Yet again, Rogue delivers. The hazelnut comes with a dark brown/red color with a one finger head. Nose is light hazelnuts. The taste at first is lighter on the nut, but I found as time went on that the flavor was more pronounced as it stayed with you. This won’t be my all-time favorite by Rogue, but it still is very very good.
n49921 (108), USA Sep 3, 2007 Bottle. Color is a nice brown that glows amber in the light. A nice tan head that subsides. Aroma is hazelnut, with a hint of malt. Taste is a nice smooth hazelnut, with a bit of nut. Finishes very smooth, with a little hops at the end. Wonderful beer. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Sep 14, 2008Name: Hazelnut Brown Nectar

Speedle (262), Mid-Atlantic (Tour 2007-2008), Virginia, USA Aug 30, 2007 22 oz..Morimoto Hazlenut...dark brown with a big bubbly head...head dissapears after a minute...malt aroma..light sweet and nutty aroma...roasted malt taste...definately pick up the hazlenuts in the finish...great brown ale mikey (336), farmington, Utah, USA Aug 30, 2007 Poured a dark and earthy brown and forms a two finger beige cap. The nose was bourbon-esque laced hazelnut and rich dark chocolate. The taste was of roasted toffee malts with sweet cocoa and a nuttiness that slips to a piney finish. This is a great brown ale perfect around the hollidays. geezerbeer (3), USA does not count Aug 28, 2007 Updated: Aug 29, 2007bottle, bomber. poors heticly bubbly then leaves no head, looks like a matt finish unfiltered bourbon in the glass. Aroma as advertised; overpowering hazelnut, with vanilla. quite quaffable. no nasty overtaste. I’m certain this tasted loads better at the 2007 anderson valley brewfest from a tap (but I was very, very drunk). gotohelunc (473), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 28, 2007 Draft at Brixx. Nothing smells quite as good to me as a fresh-brewed pot of hazelnut coffee, and that’s what overwhelms the nose of this one. Delightful. Actually not as dark as I’d expected and pretty thin on the head, but still a nice rich dark brown. Yeah, it tastes like hazelnut coffee, too. It’s very sweet, and quite unusual with those coffee notes so present, which did wear on me by the end of the pint, but not as much as I’d feared they would. Truly an interesting beer, not one I’d drink tons of, but it’d be a great change of pace beer and good for converting non-beer-drinking girls to the joy of "real beer". BlackForestCO (819), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Aug 25, 2007 Updated: Jun 10, 2008Poured from a bomber.Poured a deep amber brown with a tan head. Aroma was dominated by hazelnuts, and smells quite nice. Taste is much the same, with initial malt hit leading into a nice hazelnut flavor. A bit sweet, but very nice. Smooth mouthfeel helps with the drinkability. Top notch brown ale.
