Brown color with a smallish thin tan head. Aroma was light and sweet with hints of maple. Taste is a sweet hazelnut nectar with a mellow hop bite. Although sweet, it’s very good. Tastes a bit like a flat cola and anise.

Thanks to Fatty. Pours a reddish brown with a small tan spotty lacing head. Aroma of nuts, honey, caramel and brown sugar. Flavor of nuts (hazelnut), creamy, caramel and a general sweetness. If you like hazelnut coffee give this a try.

Pours a medium tan head with fine-small bubbles. It had fair lacing on the sides of my mug. It had a brown body. It has a coffee flavor to it which I enjoyed. There was no bitterness to this brew. It had a slight sweet aftertaste to it that was not overwhelming to me.

Had this at the Bon Vivant Beer Lovers Club on 8-29-03. This was labeled as Morimoto HazelNut, and not as HazelNut Brown Nectar. This poured a nice shade of brown with a small fluffy tan head. The nose is a sweetened, malted nutty whiff mixed with light hops. Very pleasant. The taste is nutty and sweet also but with a little more hops coming through. Very good beer. We had 7 Rogue beers this evening but only 3 were new to me and this was the best of the 3.

Bottle. Dark brown/nutty coloured beer with a strong light brown head. The aroma is oaty and chocolaty, and the flavour is chocolaty and gently bitter with a twang. Overall a nice bitter and chocolaty beer.

Excellent - my favorite Rogue to date. Frothy, thick pour, excellent chocalate undertones. Strong finish. Sweet, nutty aroma. Winner all the way around.

Draught. Hazy brown color with a thin head. Prominent hazelnut nose. Moderate carbonation. Definite hazelnut flavor with milk chocolate undertones. At one point I felt like I was tasting a chocolate milkshake. Very smooth finish. Not for everyone, but gives some flair to the normally pedestrian brown ale style.

Bottle, purchased at The Still in Irvine, CA and consumed on 8/14/06. I’ve had this beer many times and I think it is one of my favorite browns. Pours light brown with a large but thin head. This is a delicious light tasting beer that has a sweet hazelnut feeling. It is drinkable and great.
