Appearance: Straight up solid brown in color with a fizzy khaki-colored head that quickly settles to a ring of bubbles and further settles leaving the beer to look like a glass of Nestea. Smell: The scent isn’t overly abundent, but it’s there. It’s there and it’s hazlenut, baby! There’s also cream soda, toast with honey, and a little bit of chocolate to be found. Taste: It’s delish! Malty sweet, with flavors of hazlenut, vanilla, and even coffee. The soft, floral hops are delicate and help to balance out the sweetness, though they remain light (and especially light for Rogue). Lastly, both chocolate and honey close out things. Finish is clean. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Creamy. Carbonation remains low. Drinkability: Excellent and unique! Very easy to drink. Sweet, but not too sweet. A very tasty brown ale!

Pours to a rusty brown mahogany body with a tall foamy light tan head. The aroma is caramelized brown and crystal malts with a hazelnut thing going on in the background. There are lots of complexities and nuances in this aroma. Some chocolate brownies at times. The flavor is strongly hazelnut with a bready caramel and crystal malt backbone. Light amounts of chocolate. Subtle hops. One of the better brown ales I’ve ever had. The palate is only lightly astringent with a medium and drying body. A definite delight.

Sweet, malty aroma like a doppelbock. Bit of chocolate with a nutty nose - like a brazil nut. Mocha and nice aromatic hops. Copper brown with slight haze. Light tan foamy lacing head. Light medium carb and silky watery body. A bit sweet up front. Deep, rich malts but not cloying. Finishes with a nice tang then smooth nutty chocolate after. Very smooth - no bitterness. A very good brown ale with great chocolate nutty taste, though the watery finish detracted a bit.

Smells if faintly alcoholic, faintly malty, but light overall. This is a quite refreshing beer, and really not that heavy. The hazelnut flavoring is light, but noticeable and the right amount. rogue is quickly becoming one of my favorite breweries.

Decent nose - complex mix of malt, chocolate and raisins. Dark brown with lathery head. Very tasty indeed: toffee, hazelnut and maybe chocolate. Little pronounce hop character but a good balance overall. Creamy mouth feel at first with a dry end. A full and flavorful beer consistent with Rogue's offerings.

Had a sweet roasty hazelnt nectar aroma. Brown body and decent head. A decent creamy rich nut flavor appeared in the middle. Otherwise I would of thought this beer is just a medium bodyied nut somewhat watery beer. .

Darker brown colour, almost no head. Decent smell...not really nutty, but somewhat acidic. Not too strong of a taste, very mild and somewhat 'nutty'. Not a great beer. I don't like "nut brown" stylings much, and this is a good example of why. Better luck next time, I suppose!

Deep ruby-brown colour with a good sized mocha head. Aroma is nutty and roasty, very appetizing. Body is a little thin for the style, but not bad. Flavour is wonderful - hazelnut, toffee & roasted malt. Nice bitterness in the finish. Quite good stuff.
