Draft
This was a deep brown color with a thin head. The aroma was that of dark malts and Hazelnut. Loved the aroma the beer also had some great flavors this was truly a fun beer to drink. Never thought it would be this good. The beer drank easy and the hazelnut flavor was throughout but not hugely overpowering. A Great Great Beer.

Dark brown color. Hazelnut really is apparent. Lots of caramel and sweet malt too. Really unique for the nutty flavor. One of the better brown ales I have tried.

Bottled. Hazelnut colour alright, deep bone colour. Wonderfully different aroma, and the taste. Tastes like a malted milkshake. Wonderfully creamy, sweat and malty. Did feel a bit like 6% but there you go.

Dark syrupy brown with a medium tan head...smells like hazelnuts...tastes like one too many pumps of hazelnut syrup in a SS Nut Brown...Rogue tries too hard to make unique beers and screws them up in the process...thick sweet malty finish...

At Tux’ place 280408. Aroma and flavor of roasted barley. Honey sweetness and nut notes. A characteristic milky profile

On tap at Yard House Brea; remember having this a couple years ago and not liking it; that has definitely changed. Aroma of nuts, chocolate, caramel and butter. Flavor was the same; sweet with buttery nuts. Good on the palate. Nice color. Very good for the style.

Sampled from tap on 11/09/2006 at Dilly Deli... Color is brown and clear with a nice, off-white head. Aroma is hazelnut with hints of chocolate. Flavor is a very nice, nutty hazelnut with a bit of sweetness and chocolate to it. Very enjoyable and quite smooth and easy to drink! 16 fl oz draught, $4.00 at Dilly Deli.

6/21/2008: Rogue Hazelnut Brown has a sweet hazelnut aroma and tastes nutty and a lot like Nutella. It is balanced overall and has a dry coffee-like finish. It is medium-bodied, clear, deep golden-caramel in color, and has a khaki head. Always good!

22 fl. oz. bottle (14° Plato, 33 IBU, 73.6 AA, 36° L) enjoyed during the Grand Banquet at the 2009 American Homebrewers Association Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.
