Bomber. Nutty aroma with roast malt, wood, and grain husk, a little bit of a cereal quality. They’re not lying, there’s a lot of hazelnut here. Ruby-brown body, dark but still translucent, with a soapy tan head. Malty, butty, lightly sweet and only slightly bitter taste, a woody, slightly sour faint roast drying out a bit around the teeth toward the end. Medium body, maybe even thinner with that, and a bit unbalanced - where are the hops? The sweet nuttiness is nice here, and she’s a good session, but this beer is massively overrated.

With its frothy head and amber-brown body this brew looks like root beer. Sweet aroma of nuts, molasses, and nutmeg. Also smells fragrant. Initial flavor is stunning. Deep, rich nuttiness plus a huge, complex malt character. Mild organic honey and molasses sweetness that builds and becomes a burnt sugar flavor after awhile. Aftertaste includes some delicate hop spice. This beer left me with a mixed impression, probably because I'm just not a big fan of Brown Ales. The artfulness of this beer is impressive but it left me with a mouth-coating staleness that I find in some Browns. If you're a big Brown fan, you'll probably love this beer.

Nice hazelnut in aroma and flavor. Sweet with some chocolate aroma. Nice and lite on the hops, making it one of my favorite rogues.

Brown nectar indeed. Pours dark brown, with sweet malts and a distinct hazelnut flavor, as oh-so-subtely suggested on the bottle. However, the flavor seemed to thin as the bottle was drained. A good beer, but I've had better browns.

Aroma of roasted barley and nuts with a sugary sweetness toward the end. Dark brown with hints of amber and a medium sized tan head. Huge hazlenut flavor overwhelms the palte from fore to finish. Tastes like Coffee Mate Hazlenut Creamer in a weak cofee. It does however taste good just overpoweringly one dimensional and not very beer like.

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is very sweet and nutty with tons of hazelnut flavor. Rich and roasty. Flavor itself is very sweet and nutty at the beginning with a very sweet and hazelnut flavor in the middle and a sweet and roasted malt finish. Very smooth and tasty.
