One or two are very pleasant, but I don't know if I'd want to drink several at once - maybe a little too much of a good thing. Very good beer all the same. SHIG (2037), Aviano, Italy

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 16, 2006 Bomber. Pours a clear brown with a rocky tan head. Aroma of hazelnuts and vanilla. Medium body an carbonation. The taste is lightly sweet with hazelnuts, toffee, hazelnuts, vanilla, hazelnuts, chocolate and maybe a dash of smoke. The finish hazel-nutty, malty and lightly spicy. Is it one dimensional? Kinda, but the nuttiness though pervasive really isn’t overbearing. A nice change of pace beer. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Aroma of rich toffee/caramel, nuts, chocolate and raisins. Flavour is sweet chocolate and caramel, balanced out with a mildly bitter finish. Some fruity notes evident. Not bad, but nothing special. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA

The flavor is sweet, nutty, caramel malt with a good balance of hops. It’s medium bodied though even as it warmed it still seemed a touch watery. charlotte (2032), Vanløse, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2002 Updated: Feb 6, 2004Malty, lightly toasted and caramelized, sweet nose, hazelnut is immediately evident. Deep chestnut color with a light tan head. Flavor profile is all about the sweet malt and hazelnut combo, and just look at all the malts this beer has in it. It shows through quite readily. Mouthfeel is very lush and fits perfectly. Finish sees a little hop flavor enter the picture but Browns are about the malt through and through, this one is no exception. I really enjoy this one a lot but part of me has to wonder what it would taste like without the added hazelnut flavoring. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA
