Tasted 1/5/08. 22oz bomber. Amber brown hue and apparently clear. Layer of off-white head. Tasted at almost room temperature. Total nutty nose! Toasty and spicy nose. Medium bodied with tight effervescence. Spicy nutty flavors. Touch toffee. Dry finish with a lingering subtle cocoa sweet note. Toffee and fudge. Nutty brownies. Roasted nuts. Malt dominant. Hops are bitter yet short lived. Tasty!

65 cl bottle, at my «Hopheads» tasting. Reddish brown color, beige head. Aroma is very caramellish. Flavor is chocolate malt and nuts. Nice, but not ass good as i expected.

Deep brown of color with a brown head. An aroma of chocolate, caramel and dry notes of nuts. A flavor of caramel, chocolate, weak coffe notes and a dry finish with nuts.

Old rating: 7 3 6 3 13 Practically opaque red-brown color, quickly dissipating tan head. Woody, grassy aroma. Malty start, some of the hops in the middle, with the hazelnut flavor riding out the finish. Sticky sweet residuals. This beer is nicely smooth to drink, but it seems a bit one-dimensional, really only featuring the hazelnut extract. I think I liked the aroma more than the flavor, actually. Re-rate 3/11/2008. Great aroma - lots of chewy crystal malt and nuttiness. The flavor kicks in nut dryness and some green hops. A solid nut brown.

A very great and distinct nut flavor to this from the start to the end. The best thing at the otherwise joke yardhouse. Nice woodsey malts with very crisp nut flavor. Great brown color and the usual amount of head. The taste is very nice, and very noticable, no guessing here.

Deep roasted chocolate aroma but a little faint. Huge, light brown head. Dark ruby red in color. Body looks thick and oily like a barleywine. Great lace. 33 IBUs are masked by the malt. Doesn’t taste like there are any hops at all. Very unique hazelnut flavor. Gets better as it warms. Drank this after a Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA, so it was pretty mellow by comparison.

Dark brown pour with a nice, thick tan head. Smells of maple sugar, tastes of malt, maple, caramel, and nuts. Very smooth to drink. I certainly enjoyed my 22oz. bottle and look forward to another.
