| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 6, 2005 A nice dark brown with a frothy head that reduces to a nice lacing. A sweet hazelnut aroma and a complex nutty flavour dominate this wonderfully full bodied beer. A very sweet hazelnut aftertaste. Smooth and delicious. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 12, 2004 Pours with a one-finger head that fades quickly to a ring leaving no lace. Deep, clear amber color. Low carbonation. Nose is a light malt. Light bodied which is surprising for a brown. Starts malty and then the hazelnut kicks in - very nice. The ABV is 8.8%. $4.60 for a 22oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

Aroma is strong hazelnut, lightly roasted, and a light note of vanilla. Body is full and smooth. Flavor comes first with hazelnut/chestnut/almond and is accompanied by a nice sweetness with notes of caramel, vanilla and cherry. Roasted malt and coffee show up in the finish. Very nice. theisti (1678), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2007 22 oz bottle. Pour is a clear brown with red and a medium sized off white head. Aroma is a caramel, chocolate and nut malt. Taste is more of the caramel and chocolate and a nice roastiness to it. Of course it has the "Rogue" taste in there too. Really nice smoothness and a great, long finish.
