Hops and added flavour. If I am going to have this, it might as well be on-tap. Colour-brown. I can see it appealing to some people and transitioning from coolers. A bit too much on the sweet side for my palate.

Bottle (650ml). Been saving this one for a while ... Poured bubbly hazy reddish-brown with a small light brown fizzy diminishing head. Bready aroma of roast malt, roasted nuts and chocolate - a wisp of hops, and a rich, oily malt aroma that builds as it warms. Taste is sweet roast nutty malt, chocolate, toffee, a hint of grape, and just enough bitterness backing it to keep it from being runaway sweet - very doughy and rich. Mouthfeel is fizzy, average body, very sticky - okay, it’s a little watery, but still ... a damn fine and unique brown ale. And I have a whole bomber to drink! Prosit!

Bottle 650 ml
Appearance: slight haze in brown fill, dark amber hue. Medium light top. 3-
Nose: Moderate sweetness, caramel with brown malts, oil with light dark chocolate and fresh bitter hops.
Flavor/Palate : Medium light bodied , considering noted 14 Plato definitely light on substance. Chocolate brown malts sitting in centre, slight bitters on sides. Top carbonated almost frisky. Enjoyable brew but lacking extra element.

2009-01-22. Dark brown body with a modest tan head that fades. Mild malt aroma, muted nuts and malted milk. (6+) Flavour is sweet with very light roasty touches to the malt, fruit-nut character, very light bitter accents, slightly odd aftertaste. (6+) Average plus palate. Bottle make be getting a bit past its prime, its not as good as I remember. 6/3/6/3/13-14Bottle from LCBO

Re-Rate Nov 3 2004 Nice caramel red-brown body, with a good sized beige head. Sweet malty aroma with a touch of nutty undertones. Aroma is muted somewhat. Sweetness of the malt is balance by a touch of bitterness and the nutty flavours which linger on in the aftertate. Ever so slight roast nuts. Hazelnut definitely shows up more prominently in the aftertaste. Palate is decent but thinner than seems fitting. Nice beer but not mind blowing. Thanks for the bottle Tupalev. 6/3/8/3/16 <P>Original Rating Body is a nice dark colour, flavour is complex and nicely sweet a lingering nuttiness especially in the aftertaste. Deliciously creamy on the palate. 6/3/8/5/16

Dark brown color. Medium head. Aroma is nutty and malty. A medium bodied brown ale. This is a very nice nut brown ale. Nutty and malty, smooth and sweet. Mellow and very drinkable. This is a beer that is complex enough for the experienced beer drinker, yet simple enough to wean someone off macro-swill. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is malty sweet. Etched/Painted beer bottle

This brew pours a creamy small head of light brown bubbles and a semi transparent dark brown body. With a mild malt aroma, this brew has a taste of caramel and spice with just a hint of coffee flavoring. It goes down very smoothly yet leaves a slight dry lingering after taste of the coffee flavoring.

Bottle shared by Kevin thefle. Pours a brown body with a thin off white head. Nose is lightly hoppy, chestnuts, nutty and lightly bitter. Flavor has a huge emphasis on the hazelnut sweetness, and vanilla notes. Dominated by loads of hazelnut reminiscent of the D&D extract. Odd, im not really a fan of hazelnut but i didnt mind this at all, i drank the other 7/8ht of the bomber, thanks broski. For what rogue set out to do i think they nailed it, i wouldnt drink this regularly by any means, still i never found this to be cloying but i regress.

Purchased under the Morimoto name. Poured dark brown with a quickly disappearing toffee head. Strong candied hazelnut aroma here; the flavor is woody and sweet with a tangy bitter finish. The beer is a tad watery which detracts from the unique and yummy flavorings.
