Very smooth brew. Simply an all around amazing beer. Aroma is of fine cut hazelnuts. A bit rich, but if you like it that way, then it’s perfect. Get out there and find this beer. You will enjoy.

Mahogany with a red hue and an incredibly delicious and creamy head. The aroma is full and nutty with notes of sweet coffee. The flavour is fantastic and very well balanced and incredibly smooth, full-bodied and practically without any bitterness. It has notes of nuts, chocolate, sweet coffee, Red Caledonian pipe tobacco and a very long finish. A work of art in bottle - and every mouthful makes me go: AHHH....

This is a very unique beer. MUCH better as it warms. Not much of a head, but decent lacing. Nutty aroma almost jumps out of the glass at you. Wonderfully complex, rich taste of molasses and hazelnut. Hoppy, but not overdone. Tastes THICK. Definitely a beer to remember and try again.

750mL bomber. Poured a dark reddish brown with a fairly decent coffee and cream head. Scents are powerful mocha, hazelnut (obviously), some malty sweetness and some yeast. Taste is great, like a coffee beer. Nice warm mouthfeel with a slight biting dryness towards the end. Finishes smooth and delcious.

Clear nut-brown, modest tan head. Sweet and toasty, nutty caramel and shortbread cookie aromas. Big nutty character up front, a little milk chocolate, lots and lots of caramel malt flavour. Thoroughly enjoyable with a high density of flavour makes this one of the best brown ales I’ve ever tried (can Rogue do no wrong?).

The hazlenut of this beer gets you at the finish, which is smooth and pleasant. Beautiful color and head.

Pours chocolate brown with a tan medium-sized head that lasts, leaving some crusty lace. Aroma is delicious dark fruit cake, brown sugar and slight chocolate. Oh man, the flavor is the same (but not too sweet) and balanced with some just-right bittering hop on the end. Great brown-sugary nasal aftertaste like a Rochefort 10 or Chimay Blue, but the slight sugar on the tongue is balanced out well and even ends on a dry and slight sour note. Palate is medium, dry and tingly. I don’t know (or care) if this really fits the "style", but it is unlike any brown I have had, and is more similar to some strong Belgians. Awesome beer.

Sweet, smooth brown ale with more than a hint of hazelnut. Good stuff. (Could use a tad more carbonation to spice it up and offset the sweetness.)
