On tap. I don't really know what hazelnut is supposed to taste like, but I like it. The beer has a rich nuttiness in the front and a chocolatey flavor in the back. The flavor definately improves when it is warmer.

Pours a dark brown with no head. Lots of hazelnut on the nose. Smells like something I'd get at Starbucks, but better! Mildly sweet and hoppy as well. Creamy mouthfeel. Caramel, coffee, and hazelnut on the tongue. Nice dry hop finish, with a aftertaste of coffee and hazelnut. This is an awesome beer! I tend to not like brown ales but this one is amazing!

beautiful looking beer dark almost mahogany brown with a nice tan coloured head that shrinks yet persists to the end. A great malty/nutty aroma greets my nose wonderful stuff. Taste starts off with a nice malty sweetness followed by a mineral tatse in the middle then near the end the hazelnut shows through..some very faint hops and some nice alcohol warmth in the throat. Very smooth and welcoming on the tongue. An exceptionally drinkable beer..gets better as it warms.

Ths brew pours a deep, mahogony brown with a tan head of good retention. The aroma is a combo of malted milk and caramel. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, all malt up front. Sweet, hazelnut flavor is subtle but definitely present. Finish is a balance of sweet malt and light hops. Delightful brew.

Wow, quite nummy. I have no idea what to use as a benchmark since I've never had a hazelenut brown before, let alone ever had hazelnuts. I'm just calling it by what I think of the taste and not by any style. Pours a dark redish-brown, like a dark-stained mahogany color witha nice head, but not much lace. Smells quite nutty and malty. The taste is very good. Nutty, duh, and also malty and sweet, but without going overboard. It has a nice coffee aftertaste with some fruits in there as well. I'm detecting prunes almost. Mouthfeel is thicker than I was expecting and rather good with just the right amount of carbonation. Drinkability is good. This would be a perfect dessert beer.

Couldn't get an aroma at first but as it warmed it was sweet with a touch of caramel. Couldn't find traces of hazelnut anywhere exept perhaps in the warm dark brown colour. Drank like mixing sweet caramel and chocolate in your mouth - absolutely fantastic flavour, with only one caveat or critique - perhaps this beer would be too sweet to enjoy very much of in a sitting.

to be fair, the aroma was somewhat muted by a very cold storing temperature and glass. unimpressive head, large sized bubbles. relatively effervescent beer, with good coloring. the real highlight is the flavor. not particularly a brown ale fan, the first words out of my mouth to my friends were "how could anybody not like this beer?" it’s delicious, and the nut flavour (not sure about the hazelnut, particularly), is substantial but not overpronounced. great mouth feel. rerate: wonderful aroma and a slightly sweet taste, but ultimately a brilliantly crafted beer.

Awesome aroma. I’m getting a great mix of nuts, vanilla, and white chocolate smelling malts. This is one smooth tasting beer. Strong vanilla/nut taste. Dry finish that creates the taste and afterfeel of eating pecans. Highly recommended.
