Pours a medium brown, light tan head. Very rich. Smooth notes of chocolate, and a light smokiness. Complex, yet smooth and very drinkable. Thumbs way up!

Pours dark copper brown with a lingering 2 finger beige foamy head. Nose is all sweet hazlenut. First sip is all hazelnit then roasted cocoa and just a slight dry hop finish. Very good brown ale. Would like to see a little more complexity.

On tap at Rogue Ales Public House in SF. Wow, this was a surprisingly excellent beer. Dark nut brown color with an off-white head. Incredible hazelnut aroma. Flavor is lots of hazelnuts with caramel, roasted malt, and slight fruitiness. Nuttiest beer I’ve ever had and I love it. Palate is a little thin, but this is an absolute top-of-the-line brown ale overall.

Pours nice dark brown with 3 finger head. Taste is incredible, love the mild hazelnut flavor but really wish there was more. This brew keeps me wanting more, I will definatley be revisiting this one again in the near future.

This has a nice brown color with a hint of red, it is medium bodied and great nutty brown ale taste. This one has a good after taste with a little bite of hops throughout.

This is among the best brown ales I have tasted. Color is a deep brown, hazelnut aroma is present but not over powering. Taste is a nice mix of hazelnut and malt. If you like brown ales this is a must try.

I found this upon a recommendation from a friend when i told him i liked new castle brown ale. This beer is so full of flavor it is delicious. Poured a hazy brown color with thick brown head. Great Beer

Garnished with the usual whimsical Rogue label, I was greeted with a most definitely brown pour mated with a slightly less brown four-fingered head, which sadly knew nothing about lacing. Aroma was quite discrete, giving away not much of anything, at least to my untalented nose. Taste was quite different, being that of a "good brown ale". The mouthfeel was smooth, and there at the end, the hazlenuttiness(?) appeared. Surely a grand aftertaste. Certainly worth another visit.
