The pinnacle of the brown ale world...draft at The Usual Suspects in Asheville, NC many times during my college career...intense caramel and hazelnut flavor, every brown ale should aspire to this masterpiece.

I’ve never had a beer quite like this. This brown ale seems more like a stout to me. If you are a stout lover and you enjoy hazelnut coffee, this is a must try for you.

22oz Bottle GREAT, GREAT, GREAT. This is one Rogue for me. GREAT tast, Great appearance and Tast even better.

I’ve been looking forward to trying this for a good bit now. Lovely espresso colour with ruby glints, just the way I like it. Poured a medium-large light brown head that smelt like sour milk. After I let it warm in my hand a bit, and the head died off, the nuttiness made itself clear. Sweet malt aroma with plenty of hazelnut. Great mouthfeel, thick in the right places. Fabulous hazelnut chocolate flavour with plenty of toasted toffee, malt and hops. Really is balanced quite nicely.

Really good. Smooth, hazelnutty, malty. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Some coffee/chocolate aroma with the hazelnut.. Smooth aftertaste. One of my new favorite beers, wish it weren’t so expensive.

Great nutty taste. Vanila and hazelnut flavors. Great brown ale. Dark brown in color.

This is great stuff. Better than Newcastle, and that’s saying something. Light nutty/coffee flavor, and a bit of hops. A winner.
