But I got it labeled as Morimoto Hazlenut Brown, so I figure this is the same brew. Flavor was caramel, nutty, and creamy, which I enjoy! This is definitley hitting the top of my list of favorite browns! AleHole99 (12), Wheaton, Illinois, USA

and sweet. Brown and clear in appearance. Nut
flavor lingers into the aftertaste and changes for a
sweet finish. Wonderful bold maltiness. May even
be better than draught Moose Drool (forgive me Big
Sky Brewing Co.).

Everything about this beer is wonderful. My only complaint is the lack of consistancy, as not every bottle I’ve had tasted the same. I also don’t recommend drinking any more than one or two of these in a sitting, it could be a bit much. DrGonzo (625), Somerville, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 22, 2003 Bottle, both the design with the guy holding the massive stein and the morimoto, which confused me in the store thinking I was buying 2 different beers. Worked out good anyways, because this is a fantanstic beer. Pours a beautiful dark brown ruby color, with medium beige head. Aroma of nuts, coffee. The initial taste is incredible, sweet mocha hazelnut goodness, full malts and just the right hops. Wonderfully smooth, soft carbonation. Long finish has more of a sweet nutty flavor, some black tea, very little bitterness. Almost too sweet at times, but just right. I can't imagine a better brown ale. I like how the bottle lists all the ingredients as well....I think this might have sold me on Rogue beers. Outstanding in its style and all around. pedrobeernut (13), San Pedro, California, USA

Nuts are one of the few non-traditional flavors welcome in beer. No to jalapenos, no to cotton candy, yes to hazelnut. This brew is brilliant! mushi (18), Corvallis, Oregon, USA
