Pours dark copper brown with a lingering 2 finger beige foamy head. Nose is all sweet hazlenut. First sip is all hazelnit then roasted cocoa and just a slight dry hop finish. Very good brown ale. Would like to see a little more complexity.

Aug 29, 2008 On tap at Yard House Brea; remember having this a couple years ago and not liking it; that has definitely changed. Aroma of nuts, chocolate, caramel and butter. Flavor was the same; sweet with buttery nuts. Good on the palate. Nice color. Very good for the style.

Aug 26, 2008 Upon pouring, a nice thick head forms and it smells of chocolate and nutty aromas. The taste is much of the same. Like chocolate covered nuts. There are noticeable roasted malts in the overall taste as well. Finish is nice and smooth. Another fine quality brew from Rogue.

Aug 26, 2008 Draught at The Flying Saucer in Nashville. Poured a dark mahogany color with three fingers of off white head. Aroma is of sweet malt with a faint nut aroma. Flavor is very sweet with a strong hazelnut tone and some bitter chocolate. Too sweet to drink more than one, but overall a solid beer.

Aug 22, 2008 22oz bottle thanks to NoworkNJ. Pours clearish brown/red with a fizzy offwhite head, no lace. Smells malty and sweet with a sort of wet dog, nut flavor. Tastes sweet nutty and chocolatey. Very tasty but not sickly sweet or nutty. Medium body, semi-dry, good carbonation.
