| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 24, 2004 Pours a golden color with light effervescence and a full soapy head. Head retention is low, leaving a sticky lace. Aroma hops prevalent as well as a light malt background and some fruity esters. Palate is light with a sweet start, watery with a light hop bite at the finish. Flavor is fairly well balanced.
IMHO: an ale with lager qualities.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 19, 2004 Bottle - pleasant aroma of honey and a bit of hop bitterness. Deep, cloudy golden color. A white head sits atop. I’m not sure what to think about the flavor. It is just odd. Kinda like everything tries to hit at once. Sweetness and hop bitterness fighting instead of complementing. At least it smells nice. jasonp (1513), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 18, 2004 Pours a clear copper with a cream colored head. Aroma Is very light- a hint of malt and hops. Taste is very boring - some caramel, grapefruit, honey and hops. Moderately sweet with a bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is semi weak and watery. Decent head retention. This beer did nothing for me. motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2004 Golden colored with medium head. Sweet malty smell. On first taste the honey flavor hit me right away, then the hops, then it all faded quickly. Started so good, then finished with nothing. Good drink, but Rogue has many better. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2004 Bright golden, transparent appearance, blessed with a sturdy 1/2" layer of creamy white foam. Lookin’ nice, so far.
Sweetness in the nose, initially, very honey, indeed. Some citrus notes, as well, and that distinctive Rogue yeast round it out.
Taste is nice and sweet again, slightly citric, grapefruit, peach, and pineapple, and more. Vibrantly hoppy on the palate, then softly fading back. Honey taste always remains at the front of the flavor. Very tasty...creamy, too!
An excellent session ale, though I usually yearn for something more forward in flavor, it would be a good one for those who need a softer style. Good to throw them a bone once in a while, leave the Shakespeares and Brutal Bitters to us weirdos out here!

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2004 Served from the 12 oz brown bottle into my Chimay chalice.
Nice looking partially hazy amber colour, with a good sized head that dissapears fast to leave splotches and lace down the side.
The aroma is very malty and somehow creamy..but you can pick up some hop spiciness.
Very creamy smooth taste ,mostly malts to begin then a small piney ,citrus hop profile appears near the end of the mouthful.
Very silky smooth on the palate with a semi-dry finish.
Certainlly one of Rogues session beers..good on this hot August night. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 23, 2004 Pours is golden with a short lived foamy head. Plenty of lacing on the sides of the glass. It started quite cold so the flavors were muted and I only had a sweet honey flavor and aroma. As it warmed up though, I found the ever present (in West Coast Brews) hops. Toward the end of the glass the bitter hops was the only aftertaste left. Very drinkable beer.
