Medium bodied, active carbonation on the palette. Sweet flavor with some citrus and malt. Finish came quick and was slightly bitter yet clean. I detected no honey. A dangerously quaffable cream ale, but incredibly one-dimensional. Not as good as expected, with the Rogue name and all, but it’s decent, and actually, a great session beer. sethdude (603), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Aroma is hoppy ans sweet, with just a bit’o’honey. Flavor is initially malty, with a honey flavor (but not sweet like most honey beers), nice warm malts, and ends grassy. Very refreshing! | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 28, 2004 Aromas of hops and honey. Finally a beer that says honey and actually has some in the taste. Also flavor of a mild ipa. Aftertastes of sweet and bitter. Refreshing; good for a hot day. The smell is subtle, fruity ale yeast with a light bitter twang about the edges and flat malt background. Light yet creamy in the mouth. Hints of honey and sweet fruits in the flavor, silken earthy bitterness rounds it off. Nothing extreme here, just a highly sessionable creamy delight. brewshthereen (316), Oregon, USA

However, I didn’t detect anything "creamy" about this beer. It was quite bitter. Hops seemed to dominate. I realize the quality in this. It’s just not what I expected from such a talanted brewery.
