Pours from the bottle a hazy honey that is semi-sparkling. The mostly lasting, large, fluffy white head is very creamy with good lacing. The well balaced flavor has a mostly malty front, no acidity and a long moderately bitter finish. The light to medium palte is ultra creamy and soft. The finish is smooth and crisp. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Feb 11, 2003 This offering from Rogue pours a slightly cloudy, orangish-gold color with a small white head. The aroma is honeyish and malty. Medium bodied, the flavor is malty with hints of honey. The finish is crisp and slightly bitter from the hops. This is an outstanding cream ale, it sure has Genesee beat. I could drink a tanker full of this beer. Quite satisfying. GermanBrews76 (667), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2003 No hints of honey at all. A pale golden straw body, nice tight white head. Lots of creaminess. Light, toasty malts and a nice clean-up. fairly astringent mouthfeel leaves a bit of a citrucy character. Very prevailing Willamette valley hops. I could session this with novices all night long. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 29, 2003 Mild hoppy nose, straw body, small white head. Pacman character and light malts dominates the taste along with the PNW hops; somewhat thin, but with that Rogue character. I don't really get the honey here. Decent. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/20 | Jan 18, 2003 Not bad, but not my favorite from Rogue. Leaves a kind of bitter honey aftertaste that I'm not too thrilled with. Honey Brown is a much better brew for the money. jah noth (1020), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 9, 2003 Extremely large head with a decent, middle of the road quality, Not my favorite style of beer but a decent quaff nevertheless. Honey flavor is latent but apparent. Adequate hop flavor. khayman70 (154), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
