Todeon (129), Höllviken, Sweden May 7, 2008 Really orange and beautiful color. Aroma is really pleasant of flowers and fruity tones. Flavor is a bit sweet in the beginning but it gets fruity and finishes with a really hoppy bitter finish with notes of grapefruit. Great beer!
Hank1980 (324), Athens, Georgia, USA Jul 17, 2008 On tap at the Public House in SF. Poured amber orange, with a small beige head. Aroma is lighter than normal for this style, with piney hops and some spice. Taste is hoppy with citrus and some malt. Palate is medium bodied with some light carbonation. Bitter finish. CheersMate1 (276), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jul 17, 2008 Great looking beer. This beer has a nice orange haze color. I really don’t prefer the transparent beers that looked heavily filtered. The beer was extremely aromatic. Nice citrus hop aroma, along with some pine hop aroma as well. This beer was extremely pungent even when extremely cold. I was very impressed with the smell. The beer had a huge bittering hop profile. I mean this beer was pretty damn bitter. A slight malt taste to it, but if you are a "hop head" you definitely want to give this beer a try. Great hop taste is all I have to say. The beer is of an average palate. Not extremely creamy or smooth, but a decent palate. Overall, a hop lovers dream. Very aromatic, and the taste of hops won’t disappoint you. IPAaLLtHEwAY (93), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Jul 17, 2008 Pours a perfect black, no light survives. Tan head. Strong aroma of oak, vanilla, whiskey, chocolate, burnt toast, and roasted malts. Flavor is big on the oak and whiskey, lots of cocoa powder, dark chocolate. Finish has a bit of oak and alcohol. Mouthfeel is thick, although not the ideal "motor oil" consistency. I don’t think that I’ve ever had a beer that stands up so well to the wood aging, though. Excellent posikyle (149), USA Jul 16, 2008 Pours slightly cloudy yellow color, with a huge saaz aroma. Tastes like a typical dipa, nothing really much to write about here. Hophead22 (78), Redlands, California, USA Jul 13, 2008 12oz. Pours a hazy orangish color. Sweet pine/citrus scent. Nice hop bitterness too it. Good beer
