MaltDawg (287), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 25, 2008 Here we go again trying to figure out exactly which Rogue brew we are drinking. Touted as "Yellow Snow". Off taps at Capital Ale House Downtown.
Pour was a clear golden orange without much head at all. Aroma is citrusy/piney hops...definately some Amarillo in there.
Beer is quite bitter with flavors of citrusey/piney hops. Moderate caramel malt sweetness to back up the hops.
Medium body and light carbonation. Bitterness lasts well past the finish.
I’d put this beer in the American IPA class. I couldn’t taste juniper berries in this brew, said they were in there, maybe just behind all the piney hops. Quite tasty.
bhensonb (2832), Woodland, California, USA Aug 12, 2008 Bottle from Sondra (as Yellow Snow IPA). Orange tinged amber color with a decent off-white head. Aroma is a mix of fruity, citrus, piney hops. Sturdy body with creamy carbonation. Flavor seems roasted malt with primarily resin and citrus hop. Finish is bitter hop with a slight undertone of sweet malt. Rather refreshing. tomthompson89 (1101), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 30, 2008 Had on tap at Coles. orange color, decent white head nose is fresh hops, very aromatic. flavor follows suit some malt to balance the hops, citrus pine nice beer very drinkable darn1207 (227), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 14, 2008 on tap as yellow snow at World of Beer. orange-amber color with thin light tan head. citrus, yeast and hops aroma. grapefruit and tons of bitter hoppiness throughout. long lingering finish. kind of a one trick pony, but suits my tastes. cbkschubert (1555), Skyline, Arizona, USA Jul 12, 2008 On tap @ Coles (Yellow Snow IPA) - Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a thin off white head. Very little lacing. Aroma is floral hops and light esters. Flavor is fruity esters and light citrus. Light to medium body. Kinda boring for an IPA. Worth a try. lemasney (253), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Jul 1, 2008 Rogue Anniversary (yellow snow/integrity IPA)
