golden brown with mild head, a defecit for the beer, some malty sweetness to the nose. flavor of munich malt with mild hop bitterness and mild nobel hop flavor, little residual sweetness before a dry finish. not a bad malt flavor to the brew, just little else to complement it. a decent marzen

Dec 13, 2009 Pours a deep golden color with a low white head. Aroma is very grainy, light floral hops note but the nose is overall very light and almost non-existent. Flavor has a full sweet Pilsner graininess to it, a light floral hops presences with a strong, grassy, slightly sour note. A moderate body, semi-creamy texture and moderate carbonation round out the beers mouth feel. Overall a very well balanced beer with a good mix of floral and grassy hops with a strong grainy presence.

Dec 7, 2009 Sampled on 12/7/2009. This marzen pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head with decent retention. The aroma is roasted malts, bready and sweet. A medium bodied marzen. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. A bready, semi-sweet marzen. Lively carbonation. Light and refreshing. Nice dry bready finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly biitter.

Dec 6, 2009 Poured from the bottle into a snifter, the brew is clear, bright honey orange with about an inch of off-white head, settling after about 30 seconds; no lacing. I smell mostly caramel and slight bit of yeasty dough. The initial flavor is a gentle bitterness that quickly mellows into malty sweetness, with a light twang of acid on the back. Nice biscuit and toasted notes. I would say the palate is medium-light. It’s a very mellow, balanced, none the less delicious marzen.

Dec 3, 2009 Hazy golden in color with a very slight head that disappears immediately. Aroma smells of yeast and malt. Slight toffee smell as well. Taste is like spaghetti-o’s, I’m not kidding, I think I got a bad bottle. This is not good.
