lingering, pillowy tan head. Big wafts of grapefruit aroma. Initially caramel-sweet, followed by dark chocolate, roasted coffee and burnt toast. Became more balanced as it warmed a little.

It is what it is......................................and that happens to be a black abyss with a creamy tan head. Bitter chocolate and light coffee rinds. Minerals and cereal notes and more coffee tones. A light hint of vanilla. Dry and session able.

Can’t remember where I tried this one... somewhere in Colorado. Overly carbonated, but nice dark taste. A nose like a barley wine.

Bottle. Dark brown pour, some carbonation and plenty of bitter chocolate aroma. Flavor is smoky coffee, bittersweet chocolate and a creamy mouthfeel. A solid Rogue offering.

Underwhelming, though OK porter. Some char/roast notes which probably belong more in a stout, but I don’t really care. The burnt finish is a bit jarring and unpleasant. Nice mouthfeel though.

12 oz Bottle. This is a tasty brew. Lots of chocolate and roasted malt. I would recommend this beer to everyone.

dark opague brown with a minimal reddish hue, big-bubbled tan head. very little aroma, some chocolatety roastiness. roasty malty flavours, little chocolate and maybe some coffee. medium body, appropriate carbonation, medium bitterness. more like a sweet stout than a porter, me thinks. alright, certainly not great.
