Bottle. Pours a hazy dark brown with a light brown head. Nice lacing. Dusty, malty aroma. A bit bread-like (rye). Flavour is tart with bread/rye notes. Candy-sweet liquorice notes. Can’t find any coffee notes. Dry finish. Not really bad, but not particularly good either. Mediocre really. 17-01-09.

Very big coffee/chocolate aroma and an almost stout colored pour. Not a very long lasting head. The mouthfeel is very creamy and there is a very nice maltiness. Definitely not as much mocha as I was expecting from the aroma, which can be a good or bad thing depending how you look at it. I wasn’t blown away, but I liked this beer and would drink it again.

Very dark brown, huge coffee and chocolate flavor, hidden alcohol, good amount of bitterness in the end.

Bottle out of a shaker glass. This one pours a dark brown with a milky head. Dark chocolate/coffee/roasted malt. This one feels great in the mouth -- thick for the style with a pronounced creaminess. Flavor is drier than expected, dominated by a strong hop presence. Any hint of mocha is strictly an undertone in the finish. I’d have this again, but it could use more malt backing and a hint of sweetness to make it outstanding.

Hmm.... I was kinda dissapointed in this beer. I liked everything that I’ve had from Rogue up till this beer. I like Porters but this one just had an odd taste to it. It’s hard to describe. Pours black with a white head. I drank this out of a shaker.
