A 0.35L bottle. Beige head. Dark reddish/black colour. Mild nose. Some mocha at the end. Also some hints of coffee and syrup. A snap of hops at the end.

Roasted barley and malt to the nose. Pours a light tan head that lingers on. Mid to heavy body. Full in coffee and stouty goodness.

This beer delivered what I hoped for from reading the name. Poured nearly black with a medium body and long lasting dark head. The aroma was all dark malt with. The hopping was not very apparent, but enough bitterness was had from the malts. Charcoal, chocolates, coffee

(Bottle at Sadonkorjuu, Porvoo, on 2008-10-25) Almost black. Small tan coloured head. Coffee and roasted malts in nose. Full bodied, dry and quite soft palate. Coffee, roasted malts and bitterness in taste. Roasty and bitter aftertaste.

Bouteille de 12 oz. Arômes de torréfaction, de chocolat et de caramel écossais. Robe noire, mousse mocha et belle effervescence. Belle rondeur en bouche, la fine effervescence appuyant parfaitement le malt. Bien maltée pour une porter, des notes délicates de chocolat et de torréfaction se joignent au toffee écossais. Finale légèrement sucrée et moyennement amère. Une sweet porter !

Smokey scent, dark body with diminishing off white head, creamy roasted flavor with a hint of mocha, light finish that leaves me wanting more, overall not my favorite porter

Bottle, served in an English pint glass. Dark brown, nearly black body topped by a large beige head. Subdued cocoa nose. Tastes of chocolate, roasted coffee beans, earth, grass. Body is very thin for the style. Decent.

Nose of coffee/chocolate mocha, baked bread. Medium bodied flavors of cohoclate caramel raosted candy malts // sort of sweet. Good porter.
