Tastes like watery, bitter, dark roasted malt with a hint of cocoa. Clean palate, but a little bitter for this style. Good porter texture, thin, and flavorful. Finish is mild and more palatable. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2008 Pour is not nearly as dark as I thought it would be. Aroma of light chocolate, caramel, and malt. Flavor has a bit more toasted character but I don’t taste much coffee until the late finish and there’s only a little. Well blended brew. Nothing exceptional but still good. Easy drinker. May buy again. jjuf1853 (471), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
